Privacy notice
Privacy notice for China Quick Guide.
Last updated
This notice explains how China Quick Guide handles information when you read the guide, use its browser tools or contact the team.
Operator and contact
China Quick Guide team, based in Beijing, China, operates this website. Contact [email protected] with a privacy question or a request about information you have sent us. Include enough context to locate your message, but do not send passport copies, payment-card details or other sensitive documents.
Checklist and saved guides
Checklist choices and saved guide titles and links are stored in localStorage on this browser when available. These features need no account and do not upload your saved list or checklist to the team. There is no cloud backup or device synchronisation. Records remain until you remove them or your browser clears them. Reset the checklist, remove saved guides, or clear this website’s data in your browser. Storage restrictions may prevent saving; keep a separate copy of essential travel information.
Address cards, clipboard, print and share
Address-card input and feedback drafts stay in the current page; our code does not persist those fields or submit them to a server. Your browser may independently offer autofill or session restoration. Copy places the selected information on your device clipboard. Print and share use your browser or device services; their history and access settings are outside this website.
Search and page addresses
Full-text search and Quick answers use files served with the site, without sending search terms to an external search provider. Search words may appear in the URL as q, and an original reading path may appear as returnTo. URLs can be recorded in browser history, copied links and hosting request logs. Do not enter confidential information in search. Clearing a filter removes it from the current URL, not earlier history or existing service logs.
Email and corrections
The feedback form only copies a draft. It does not send a message. An email link opens your email application, and you choose whether to send it to [email protected]. Contact email uses Cloudflare email services; your email provider and the services delivering or receiving the message also process its address, content and attachments.
The team uses messages to answer enquiries, investigate corrections and handle privacy requests. Messages should be accessed only for those purposes and retained only as needed for the enquiry, related follow-up or applicable record-keeping obligations. We do not claim a verified fixed deletion period for email-provider copies, backups or delivery logs. Ask us to locate, correct or delete information you sent; where a record must be retained or a provider controls it, we will explain the relevant limitation.
Hosting, security and service data
Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare’s network deliver and protect the website. Requests can involve IP addresses, requested URLs, traffic routing and device or system information. Cloudflare describes its handling of end-user traffic in its own privacy policy. That policy is separate from this notice; we do not apply the retention promises of its 1.1.1.1 DNS resolver to website traffic.
Our site code does not add advertising, visitor analytics, tracking cookies, accounts or a form-submission backend. Fonts and search files are served with the site. Cloudflare may apply service or security processing, including cookies where its enabled features require them. We do not promise that every request is cookie-free or that infrastructure keeps no logs. Service processing may take place outside your country; this site does not promise that all data stays in Beijing or mainland China.
External maps and references
Opening an address card’s map link sends the entered address to Amap as a search term. Other reference links open third-party websites. Those providers receive your requests and apply their own policies. Review the destination and avoid including private information before opening a link.
Your choices and requests
You can read the guides without using local saving, address cards or email. Manage browser-only records on the device where you created them; the team cannot retrieve your saved list through an account. For information the team receives, contact [email protected] to request access, correction or deletion, or to raise a concern. We may need proportionate information to identify the relevant record. No identity-document upload is required by this website.
This notice reflects the services described here. We will update it when information handling changes and show the revision date above.
